Half the country has a side hustle and almost none of it is listed anywhere a neighbour can find it. SideHustle exists to put that work on a shelf: a set price, an open slot, a rating, and one click to book it.
Local money stays local
Every booking is a payment from one household to another in the same town. We take a fee on the transaction and nothing else — no lead sales, no paid placement, no charging a provider to be seen by the customer who searched for them.
Small jobs deserve a market
The forty-minute job is the one the industry ignores, because a quote costs more than the work. Fixed prices and published availability make those jobs economic for both sides, which is the whole design of the product.
Rank on record, not spend
Search results are ordered by service record. A first-week provider who does good work climbs; a firm with a big budget and poor reviews does not. It is the one rule we do not intend to sell.
We used to be called Bükt
The company started as Bükt Technologies and the product was named after it. Nobody could spell it and nobody could tell what it did, so we named the product after the thing it is for. Bükt remains the legal entity in the agreements; everywhere else we are SideHustle.
Events
We run provider meetups in each market as it opens — an hour on pricing, listings and getting a first rating, with the people you will be listing alongside. Dates go out to the waitlist for that ZIP first.
Donate
A share of platform fees funds free services for neighbours who cannot pay — a yard cleared, a ramp built, groceries carried in. Providers volunteer the hours; the fund covers materials.
