I

Terms of service

In short: SideHustle introduces you to independent local providers and handles booking and payment. The provider does the work and is responsible for it. Keep payment in the app and the guarantee applies.

1. What SideHustle is

SideHustle is an online marketplace operated by Bükt Technologies LLC that lets consumers discover, book and pay independent service providers. We are not a party to the service contract between you and a provider, and we do not perform, supervise or direct the services.

2. Accounts

You must be 18 or older and give accurate information. One person, one account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.

3. Bookings and payment

A booking is an agreement between you and the provider at the listed price, plus the service fee shown before you confirm. Payment is authorised at booking and captured on completion. Cancellation windows are shown on each listing. Payment arranged outside the app is at your own risk and is not covered by anything in these terms.

4. Service guarantee

For bookings made and paid in the app, we will arrange a redo or refund where the service was not substantially performed as listed, provided the claim is raised within 72 hours of completion and within the published limits. The guarantee is not insurance you hold directly and does not cover pre-existing conditions, consequential loss, or work performed off-platform.

5. Conduct

No unlawful, unsafe, discriminatory or harassing conduct; no misrepresenting your identity, licences or insurance; no fake reviews; no scraping or reverse engineering. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these rules.

6. Reviews

Only completed, paid bookings may be reviewed. You grant us a licence to publish your review. We remove reviews that are unlawful or off-topic, and we do not remove reviews because a provider asks.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The platform is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from your use of the platform is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the preceding twelve months or one hundred US dollars. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Disputes and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Disputes are resolved by binding individual arbitration where permitted, and you may opt out within 30 days of accepting these terms. We will give notice of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect.

II

End-user licence agreement

In short: you may use the app on your own devices for its intended purpose. You do not own the software and may not copy, resell or pull it apart.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the SideHustle app on devices you own or control, for your own use of the marketplace.

2. Restrictions

No copying, modifying, renting, selling, sublicensing, decompiling or reverse engineering the app; no removing notices; no using it to build a competing service or to harvest listings or user data.

3. Ownership

The app, its content and all intellectual property in them remain ours or our licensors'. You keep ownership of the content you submit, and grant us a licence to host and display it for the purpose of running the marketplace.

4. Updates and stores

The app may update automatically. Where you obtained it from Apple or Google, their store terms also apply; the store is not responsible for the app or for support of it.

5. Termination

This licence ends if you break it or when you stop using the app. On termination you must delete your copies. The disclaimers and liability limits in the terms of service survive.

III

Privacy policy

In short: we collect what a booking needs, share your address only with the provider you booked, and do not sell your data.

What we collect

Account details (name, email, phone), your service address and ZIP, booking and payment records, messages sent through the app, reviews you write, provider verification documents, and basic device and usage data. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor, not stored by us.

Why we use it

To match you with local providers, take and settle payments, verify identity and credentials, investigate safety reports and claims, and tell you when the service opens in your area. We use aggregated data to decide which markets to open next.

Who sees it

The provider you booked sees your name, contact and service address once the booking is confirmed. Service vendors — payment processing, identity verification, hosting, email — see only what they need. We disclose data to authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and you may opt out of marketing email at any time — waitlist notification is a single message and stops there. Residents of California and other states with privacy statutes have the rights those laws grant, and we will not discriminate for exercising them.

Retention and contact

Booking and payment records are kept as long as tax and dispute rules require; other data is deleted on request. Questions and requests: privacy@sidehustle.team.

IV

Provider services agreement

In short: you are an independent provider, not our employee. You set your prices and hours, hold your own licences and insurance, handle your own tax, and pay us a fee per completed booking.

1. Independent status

You provide services as an independent business. Nothing here creates employment, partnership, agency or a franchise. You decide which services to list, at what price, and when you are available, and you supply your own tools and materials.

2. Listings and accuracy

Listings must accurately describe the work, the price and the time required. You may only list work you are lawfully able to perform, and only list licence-restricted trades if your current licence and insurance are on file with us.

3. Performance

Honour confirmed bookings at the published price and time, work safely and lawfully, and communicate through the app. Repeated cancellations, no-shows, sustained poor ratings, unsafe conduct or soliciting off-platform payment may end your listing.

4. Fees and payout

We deduct a platform fee from each completed booking, disclosed in the app before you accept, and pay out the balance to your nominated account on the published schedule. Refunds under the service guarantee may be recovered from your payouts where the fault was yours.

5. Insurance, tax and indemnity

Hold the insurance your trade requires; platform coverage sits above, not instead of, your own. You are responsible for reporting and paying your own taxes. You indemnify us against claims arising from your services or your breach of this agreement.

6. Term

Either side may end this agreement at any time. Open bookings must be completed or properly cancelled, and fee, indemnity and confidentiality obligations survive.

These documents are the current published versions. Have counsel review them against the markets you operate in before launch.
